In this part, Nancy Zakhour, Well Design Lead at Occidental and Ambassador at Jobs for Lebanon interviews Nancy Alameh, the CEO of Open Geospatial Consortium.
Dr. Nadine Alameh is the CEO of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), an international consortium leading the future of location with community, technology, innovation and standards for the good of society. If you've used a mapping app like google or apple maps, if you've used uber or lyft, or looked up driving directions or checked out if your flight was delayed, you have probably used one of OGC's standards. Nadine has always been passionate about technology and innovation, and has applied her expertise in various roles from Chief Architect for Innovation at Northrop Grumman, to CEO of an Aviation startup to senior technical advisor at NASA. Dr. Alameh also has experienced first-hand the challenges of being a Woman in Technology and is always looking to connect with other women for mutual support. Nadine holds a Ph.D. and 2 master degrees from MIT, and a BS in Engineering from AUB.
